Walas host Nikki Haley
Norcross, GA Walas hosted the former US Ambassador to the UN and Governor of South Carolina Nikki Haley. Nikki, the most famous Indian-American in US politics was in Georgia to stump for the legendary Herschel Walker who is currently vying for a US Senate bid. The event hosted by the Walas was aimed to target the Indian-American community. Over 300 gathered at the rally. The event was also attended by Attorney General Chris Carr, 4 Congressional candidates 7 State House candidates, 1 State Senator, 1 State Senate candidate, and several members of the mainstream and Indian-American media. The event was a resounding success and may be the basis of other events around the country. The founder and EVP of ApneWala, Rick Desai was happy stating that both parties and senior candidates are recognizing the community. Nikki Haley echoed Desai’s comments stating that the Indian-American community is very important. They are the most educated, richest per capita of any minority, and are the most philanthropic of any minority in the country.
