The story behind Wala Stone...

It all started with Moxy Hotel in NY City, Times Square. It was the first-ever Moxy Hotel started by Marriott in its boutique range, and we got the golden opportunity to work with them. Two young and dynamic designers from Jeffrey Bears, an award-winning design studio based out of New York, came to us with a very stringent and a complex request; they wanted a product that has a) premium quality b) looks classy c) is pure white in colour d) easy to clean f) should be smooth with a very specific sink shape including built-in overflow, apron and back splash g) with a matt finish h) and it shouldn’t look plasticky.

And that is when our Designing Team went through a series of experiments and innovated a product which we call the "Wala Stone" today. It is a poured product that can easily be moulded in any required shape.
